Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
